Displacement map painting

Aug-02-2010    8 Comments

Yet another way to use Mesh Paint: displacement maps. (Or bump maps too for that matter.)

Next I'm gonna clean up the code from useless test stuff and perhaps release a first test version. :)

For next features I'm planning to add some kind of animated "effects" like dripping and expanding.

That's terrific. It's a very fun idea to work on.

This is great for snow. I remember creating shape keys for each footstep in maya for a project once. This is aweseome.

This is indeed a dream. I can't wait to play with this one too. How about coding object level visibility fade/animation? (rather than material level).

So sooo suweeeet! This means no more cheating with animated displace and the cumbersome timing. ^_^

Great job! I'd like to post this on BlenderNation - could you help me out by giving me some more information about this project?

Thanks!

@loklomedia3D:
Sorry, but I don\'t get your point. Object / material level??

@Bart:
Sure, just tell me what you need to know. There is plenty of info here on my blog already : http://www.miikahweb.com/fi/blog/category/Development
