VLC Media Player on nopea mediasoitin.
VLC käyttää omia kodekkeja median toistamiseen, joten se pystyy toistamaan tuettuja video- ja äänitiedostoja vaikka koneelle ei olisi asennettu kyseisiä kodekkeja. Lisäksi soitin on todella nopea ja toistaa sujuvasti esim. teräväpiirtotasoista videokuvaa vaikkei koneessa olisikaan näytönohjainpohjaista h24-purkua.

Important notes:
* The licenses of libVLC and libVLCcore have changed from GPLv2+ to LGPLv2.1+
