Blender Fire Testing
This week I have been experimenting with different fire simulation and render setups to find out new ways to improve simulation quality.
First two scenes use new texture controlled emission setting to generate additional turbulence. Fire pillar scene uses animated additive flow to create long lasting tall flames.
You can download .blend files for these scenes from my blog: https://miikahweb.com/en/blog/2012/08/10/blender-fire-testing---blend-files
Note: This is an experimental feature I'm working on as a GSoC 2012 project. Development happens in the "soc-2012-fried_chicken" branch.
